Wear your running shoes and running clothing. You will do some dynamic stretching and a short slow run to get you warmed up. I will then video you from your right side and then your left side as you run past me at a comfortable pace.
We look at the videos of your form and see how close you are to the generalized ideal. At that point you may want to work with me on a form improvement plan, or you may want to go straight into discussing your goals and a training plan for an upcoming race.
I learn about you, your goals, your previous injuries, your current running routine and how much time you have to spend on running per week. I create plans in 3 or 4 x six week blocks. If you need to work on form, we spend the first of 4 x six weeks in a combination of base training and form training. The next 3 x six week blocks use the funnel technique to get you ready for a specific race.
